Closure – year 4
https://app.mymaths.co.uk we have set some online maths learning. You will soon receive an email via parent mail with your child’s login details.
Hello Year 4!
We hope you are all well and enjoying your time at home. Hasn’t the weather been lovely! We hope you’re managing to get out for a walk/scoot/cycle once a day. Aren’t we lucky to have the Downs on our doorstep. Have any of you been up there for a walk yet?
We have been busy thinking up lots of fun activities for you to have a go at over the next few weeks. We have put together a new home learning grid (like the normal homework grid). You can pick activities in any order and do them. This grid of activities is for the weeks up until the May half term. We will also set you 3 English and 3 Maths tasks per week. We know that every family is different and you are all balancing lots of things at the moment so some of you might get lots of the tasks done and others might not. The main thing is for you to have fun, be happy and be safe!
We hope you are still reading lots and getting outside and moving as much as possible. We are all trying lots of different things at home with our families.
Mrs Foster is trying to do Joe Wick’s PE workout every day:
It’s great fun but quite hard!! When the Foster family need something a bit quieter (and Mrs Foster wants to lay down in the corner!) they are trying out Cosmic Kids and Go Noodle for some yoga and meditation (and the odd crazy dance!):
Mrs Dyer is having a go at Andy’s Wild Workouts. He’s even done some with a rainforest theme! https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p06tmrxr/andys-wild-workouts-series-1-6-rainforests
She has also been singing her heart out with Gareth Malone’s Home Chorus Choir and enjoying snuggling up with the children watching the new series of Malory Towers on CBBC.
Mrs Buchan is also doing the Joe Wick’s workout and going on lovely bike rides or walks with her sons every day near their house. It is so important to get some fresh air every day.
Please stay in touch and let us know what you are doing! Contact us here firstname.lastname@example.org. Please take photos of your work and ask your parents to email us them. We would love to see all your creations.
We are thinking about you all lots and miss you.
Mrs Foster, Mrs Dyer and Mrs Buchan xx
