Fundraising through your online shopping with School Angel
One of the easiest ways money can be raised for our school is by online shopping through School Angel.
Wallands has teamed up with a charity called School Angel which will help our school to raise money. School Angel works with lots of big shopping brands in the UK which have agreed to donate a portion of the profit they normally make on your shopping if we use the School Angel website to visit their shop. You are guaranteed to only pay exactly the same price, for whatever you buy, but our school will also receive a donation.
School Angel is really easy to use and our school has its own charity page which you can visit at https://www.schoolangel.org.uk/wallands-community-primary-school.html or click the logo.
Once on this page, click on the logo of the retailer you want to visit and do your shopping. And that’s it! The best thing is that there is no need to log in. Get shopping now!
FoW co/Chair – Emma Hodgson
I have two children at Wallands school, Harry in Year 4 and George in Year 1.
When not climbing up the hill to school for drop off or pick up I work as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist for the NHS.
I really look forward to co-chairing Friends of Wallands and supporting our great community school.
FoW co/Chair – Christy Peters
I am really excited to be co-chair for Friends of Wallands, alongside Emma. I loved helping out with fundraising in 2018 and happy to be even more involved now.
I have worked in event production for the last 18 years but I’m currently taking some time out to be around for more school runs and mum duties. I have 2 children at Wallands, Leo in Year 2 and Bay in Reception.
FoW Treasurer – Suzanne Hegarty
I have two children at Wallands, my daughter Elliot in Year 4, and my son Kian in Year 2. I have always worked in finance, and am currently a Finance Officer at LDC.
I am very passionate about our lovely school, and everything it stands for, and am looking forward to being a part of the fabulous FoW team.
FoW Secretary – Hannah Sheridan-Oliver
I am so pleased to be staying on the committee for FoW. It was a real honor and pleasure to be Chair, however I’m equally excited to be doing this new role.
I’ve three children, two are at Wallands, Reggie in Year 4 and Scarlett in Year 2. My oldest is having a gap year after finishing her 3rd year at college.
I’ve been working for American Express for many years, and also do various volunteering roles in the community.
FoW Donations Coordinator – Susie Edwards
I am Mum to three boys: Oscar and Harvey (Years 3 and 4, Wallands), and Jack (Year 7, Priory). All three have had many happy years at Wallands!
I volunteer in school and work part-time as a psychologist at King’s College London.
As FoW Donations Coordinator, I’m looking forward to seeing how all the fundraising can have a real impact on our children’s experience in school.
